Michel McDonald Hired as Director of Transition & Itinerant Services at Ingham ISD

Michel McDonald has been hired as the Director of Transition & Itinerant Services at Ingham Intermediate School District (ISD). McDonald will be responsible for planning and implementing activities and requirements for special education transition services and programs within Ingham ISD as well as its constituent districts. Additional responsibilities will include; planning, implementing, evaluating and improving designated special education support services and instructional programs for students with disabilities.

McDonald earned his B.A. degree from Michigan State University, teaching certifications from the University of Central Florida and Spring Arbor University and his M.A. in special education from Grand Canyon University. In addition, he earned a Special Education Supervisor certification from Saginaw Valley State University.

“Michel brings an array of knowledge and experience that will benefit students, staff and families in the Ingham ISD service area,” notes Crystal Cutler, Executive Director of Students Support Services at Ingham ISD. “His accomplishments as an educator, coach and special education supervisor, along with his strong commitment to the development of students and staff will be of great benefit to our Transition and Itinerant teams,” Cutler also noted.

Prior to joining Ingham ISD, McDonald served as the Principal of Meadowview School at Eaton Regional Education Service Agency. In addition, he held several positions with the Lansing School District including, Special Education Supervisor, Special Education Teacher, Coach and Assistant Principal.
