Ingham ISD Launches New Mobile Application

Ingham Intermediate School District recently launched a new mobile application for families, staff, and local district representatives. Available on both Google Play and the App Store, the free mobile application provides important on-the-go information and alerts in an easy-to-use format.

The Ingham ISD mobile application has three main components: information for families, information for local district representatives and information for staff. The family section includes a calendar with important events, a link to PowerSchool for checking grades and attendance, program specific information, news and public reports. In addition, families can subscribe to program specific alerts including emergency alerts. The district section includes information on services provided by Ingham ISD, such as information technology, transportation, and communications to name a few. Finally, the Staff section includes access to the intranet, professional development opportunities, PowerTeacher and the Ingham ISD apparel store.

“With more and more people using their mobile device as their primary source for information, we felt it was important to have access to information on our programs and services at their fingertips,” notes Jason Mellema, Superintendent. “Professional development opportunities, social media feeds, employment opportunities and links to our local districts round out the abundance of information now available all in one place.” Mellema also notes.

To download the mobile application, simply search Ingham ISD on Google Play for Android devices or the App Store for Apple devices. There is no cost to use the mobile application.

Ingham Intermediate School District provides programs and services to families who reside in Dansville, East Lansing, Haslett, Holt, Lansing, Leslie, Mason, Okemos, Stockbridge, Waverly, Webberville and Williamston. For more information, visit Ingham ISD (www.inghamisd.org).
