Science

Ingham ISD’s STEM consultant provides professional learning to preK-12 instructors and administrators around Michigan Science Standard pedagogy and content to ensure students interact with the disciplinary core ideas through the science and engineering practices and crosscutting concepts. Customized support for districts includes instructional coaching, unit development, secondary course mapping, curricular recommendations or supplementations, using formative assessment strategically, integrating engineering design, coding, and writing three-dimensional science assessments. To foster further professional growth, the STEM Consultant coordinates internal and cross-district observation opportunities so that teachers can refine their instruction and effectiveness.
