North Star School

Welcome to North Star School, an integrated program supporting students with severe emotional and behavioral challenges from 5th to 12th grade. Students, referred by special education directors from twelve local districts, benefit from our tailored approach that includes social work services and ancillary support as determined by their Individualized Education Programs (IEPs). In our nurturing environment, we foster academic growth and personal development.

North Star School, which combines former programs, Secondary Learning Center and Evergreen Program, will serve students with special needs. This project was made possible through a Headlee Restoration Millage which was passed by voters on March 10, 2020.

All students will be on winter break from December 22 through January 2. School will resume on January 5.
