AI Tools at Ingham ISD

Ethical Use Use AI to support your thinking, creativity, and work. Review outputs for accuracy, fairness, and suitability before sharing or using them. Follow school or workplace expectations for disclosing AI assistance, respect others’ work, and keep people accountable for consequential decisions.
Protect Personal and Confidential Information Before entering personally identifiable information (PII) or confidential information into an AI tool, check with your local IT and AI leadership. Confirm that the tool, account, information, and intended use are approved. This includes student or staff records, identifying details, photos, and recordings. Use only the information needed and remove identifying details whenever possible. Access to an AI tool does not by itself authorize sharing sensitive data.
Safety AI can produce confident answers that are incorrect, outdated, incomplete, or biased. Check important claims and citations against reliable sources, and review results before using them. Treat AI output as a starting point, with human judgment and responsibility guiding the final decision.
Google Gemini: Recommended Starting Point Our recommended starting point for Ingham ISD staff through Google Workspace for Education. Sign in with your district account to brainstorm, draft, summarize, and explore ideas. Add documents and links or discover sources from the web and Google Drive. Check cited passages against the originals, and confirm approved access and data use with your local IT and AI leadership. ChatGPT ChatGPT can help brainstorm, draft, summarize, and develop learning materials. ChatGPT for Teachers is free for eligible, verified U.S. K-12 educators through June 2028. Claude (Anthropic) Claude can help plan lessons, develop materials, and refine writing. Claude for Teachers offers free access to premium features for eligible, verified U.S. K-12 educators, with model training off by default. Adobe Firefly A suite of generative AI tools in Adobe Creative Cloud that lets you create unique images from text prompts, apply AI‑driven text effects, and explore creative design variations. It’s supported and licensed by the ISD and available through our district’s Adobe Creative Cloud access. Learn More
Canva for Education A drag‑and‑drop design platform with AI‑powered tools for creating engaging visuals, presentations, documents, and social media graphics. Premium features are unlocked through our district’s Canva for Education program. Learn More
SchoolAI SchoolAI helps teachers create AI-supported learning activities called Spaces and monitor student interactions. It is currently available as a pilot for Wilson Talent Center staff. Contact your local IT and AI leadership for pilot access and guidance before using it with students or sensitive information. Learn More
