Auto repair shop looking for entry level apprentice to learn automotive repairs. Duties to begin with will include completing oil changes. Rotating tires, installing head lamp bulbs, changing belts and hoses, general cleanup, and occasional yard maintenance. You will be working under an ASE Master Auto Tech and hopefully will be progressing soon into performing brake jobs and front end suspension and steering repairs. This position has the possibility to turn into a fully licensed mechanic for the state of Michigan. Training provided. 4 day work week. Holiday pay and uniforms after 30 days. PTO time after 180 days. Vacation pay after 1 year. This is a family operation where we treat our customers like family.
Valid drivers license. Drug free workplace. We will help you get your State of Michigan trainer permit. Tolls preferred but not required. Must be good with computers. Must be able to take direction well.

We are also looking for a line cook. Some experience preferred, but training is also available. We are a 17 top, 72 person capacity diner, which serves breakfast and lunch. It can be fast passed. Our pay is competitive to better than competitive.

- The manufacturing associate position in Assembly is responsible for operating assembly machinery and assembling components into a machined valve body.
- May fabricate, assemble, fit, fasten, install, hand finish and/or test products or perform other hand work such as welding, cutting molding painting and packaging.
- May also set-up, operate or tend production machinery.
- May move and/or control the movement of materials, supplies and finished goods to designated locations into and/or within the facility and/or onto vehicles for shipment.
- May be required to read micrometers and blueprints as well as use gauges.
- May be required to visually inspect parts.
- Maintains appropriate records. May interface with and/or contact customers or suppliers.
- May perform vertical task/job enrichment jobs that are outside the normal scope of direct production tasks.
- Empowered to initiate corrective actions when problems which impact the quality of the product and/or the quality system are identified.

- Reset faults, as appropriate
- Perform visual inspections and identify potential quality concerns
- Perform lot control and tagging of components, work in process, and/or finished goods
- Complete check sheets and reports, as necessary
- Retrieve and unpack components and stock the line
- Pack parts into dunnage
- Operate pallet truck to move material and dunnage
- Clean cell and area

- Use hand gages and/or other testing devices to perform quality checks
Education/experience:
- Required: High School Diploma, or equivalent
Work Experience:
- Manufacturing experience preferred, but not required
