Core Performance Indicators (CPI)

Federal guidelines require each Career & Technical Education (CTE) programs to use certain quantitative measures to monitor the quality of the CTE program. These measures are called Core Performance Indicators (CPI) and they consider academic and technical performance, graduation from high school, placement in post-secondary education and preparation for the workplace.

Definitions for the Core Performance Indictors include:

1S1 - Four-Year Graduation Rate

2S1- Academic Attainment in Reading Language Arts

2S2 - Academic Attainment in Mathematics

2S3 - Academic Attainment in Science (Not required, but optional)

3S1 - Post-Program Placement

4S1 - Non-traditional Program Concentrations

5S1 - Program Quality Attained Recognized
