Ingham ISD Renames Career Center the Wilson Talent Center

On Wednesday, August 30, Ingham Intermediate School District renamed the Capital Area Career Center, to the Wilson Talent Center, honoring former Ingham ISD Board of Education member, Rudy Wilson. A press conference and ribbon cutting ceremony were held to mark the occasion.

Classes Start Aug 28, Peanut/Tree Nut Free Building

Classes will begin on Monday, August 28th. All districts including those starting after Labor Day are providing busing to and from each high school to the Wilson Talent Center. We also want to notify all those entering the building that we will be a peanut/tree nut free building for the 2017-2018 school year due to multiple student allergies. Please do not bring any nuts or products made from nuts into the building for the safety of all students.

First Day of Classes to be Held August 28

First day of classes for students at the Wilson Talent Center will be held on Monday, August 28, 2017 both AM and PM sessions. There will be no school on Friday, September 1 and Monday, September 4 in observance of the Labor Day holiday. Classes will resume on Tuesday, September 5.

WTC to Host Student Registration Days

Wilson Talent  Center will host Student Registration days on August 9 and August 15 between 3:30 and 6:30 pm. Students should attend a date and time that works best for their schedule. Please bring Emergency Forms and Handbook Signature Sheet that were mailed this summer and be prepared to have Student ID photos taken. Students will also receive information on college credit, certifications and can tour the building.

WTC Culinary Students Earn Awards

Students from the Wilson Talent Center's Culinary Arts & Hospitality program recently attended the Family, Career and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA) national competition in Nashville, Tennessee. The students returned with three gold, three silver and two bronze medals. They also earned a National Championship in Applied Mathematics for Culinary Management. Congratulations to these students and their instructors!
