How Do I Get Started?

Students in the Ingham Intermediate School District service area are first formally exposed to the Wilson Talent Center (WTC) in eighth grade during Eighth Grade Visits. Each school will be assigned a date and session for their eighth graders to visit the WTC and become exposed to our program offerings.

WTC Representatives will visit each local district high school in the fall and present WTC options to tenth and eleventh grade students. Students will sign up to visit two programs they have an interest in during this presentation. Again, each school will have an assigned visit date and session. Parents and students can also visit programs during our annual Open House , which is held in early December each year in the evening.

Once a student has visited the program they are interested in applying to, they can then complete the online application right on this website by hitting the "Apply Now" button on the homepage.  A copy of the application will be sent to the students counselor who will complete necessary documentation to complete the application process. Students must have visited the program they are applying to. Applications will be reviewed by the WTC Enrollment staff and students are typically notified of acceptance in late March/early April for the following school year.
