Evergreen Program

The Evergreen Program, operated by Ingham ISD, is a Kindergarten through 8th grade program for severely emotionally impaired children. The program includes two classrooms that are each staffed with a teacher and paraprofessional. Social work service is provided as are other ancillary services as determined by the student's IEP.

Mission

The mission of the Evergreen Program is to provide a therapeutic setting with comprehensive, coordinated care and education for students grades K-8 with severe mental health issues that improves their social and academic outcomes for life functioning. The focus of the program is to assist in the development of a broad range of functional abilities through engagement within a structured and safe learning environment. Instructional services will be designed to meet the changing needs of students as they acquire and generalize skills. Program staff and the family collaborate to enhance the child's social/emotional, behavioral, communication, cognitive, and sensory-motor development with a particular emphasis on areas of need.
