We're looking for motivated students to join the LAMP team!


Application Criteria
  • Reside within Clinton County RESA, Eaton ISD, or Ingham ISD
  • Must be a high school junior
  • Be drug and alcohol free
  • Ability to work as a team member
  • Motivation and maturity to be a self-directed learner with a strong work ethic
  • Strengths in reading, writing, math, and problem solving
  • An interest in exploring careers in manufacturing
  • Obey all safety rules and regulations
  • Complete the LAMP assessment process
Application Process
  • Complete an application
  • Write an essay
  • Provide two recommendations--one from your home school and one from a community member
  • Provide an official high school transcript, a record of regular attendance, and a school record free of serious discipline incidents
  • Attend a required parent/student informational meeting and sign a parent/applicant agreement
  • Participate in a GM administered drug test
  • Participate in an assessment and interview process
Curriculum Expecations

All students will...

  • participate in a summer orientation program where they will become familiar with the core components of the program.
  • complete six units of instruction and the accompanying group and individual assessments for each unit.
  • participate in the Capstone Experience, the final project of the year.
    complete a personal portfolio that clearly demonstrates their employability skills.
  • complete the required assignments from the Career Development manual.
    research career options through job shadows and mentor relationships.
  • have an opportunity to voluntarily take the GM assessment test at the end of the program.
    exit the LAMP program with a career plan.
