LAMP students are afforded the ability to job shadow Lansing area UAW and GM employees to research the careers they are interested in pursuing after high school. This first-hand experience in the manufacturing world is valuable to students as they make decisions about their future.
Some students choose to begin their job shadowing opportunities by participating in an engineering roundtable in the LAMP classroom.
Several Lansing area General Motors engineers in the fields of electrical, environmental, industrial, manufacturing, mechanical, product design, and quality volunteered their time to help LAMP students understand the intricate differences in the various areas of engineering.
We would like to say thank you to all of the engineers that found time in their busy schedule to help LAMP students in their career development. |
