Process

Ingham ISD is providing criminal history checks for Michigan School Employment in compliance with the Student Safety Acts of 2006. The fee is $65 for the fingerprinting and criminal records check.

Fingerprinting will be conducted by appointment only. Call Human Resources to make an appointment at (517) 244-1268.

Please follow these steps:

Step 1 - Call (517) 244-1268 for an appointment.

Step 2 - Print and complete the Livescan Fingerprint Background Check download below. You must indicate the agency identification number of the school district you are applying with. If the ID number is not already indicated on the downloaded form, you must contact that school for the appropriate Agency ID number.

Step3 - The fee is $65.00. Please bring a check or money order made payable to Ingham ISD, or you may use a credit card or e-check by clicking the Payschools link below. Be sure to bring a copy of your printed receipt as proof of payment at the time you are fingerprinted.

Step 4 - Go to the Thorburn Education Center, 2630 W. Howell Rd., Mason to be fingerprinted. You will need to show pictured identification such as a driver’s license, to verify your identity.

Once you have completed these steps, you will receive a receipt showing you began the criminal history process at Ingham ISD. A copy of this receipt should be provided as a courtesy to the district with whom you are applying. The actual criminal history results will be sent directly to that district in approximately one week.

If you were printed for Ingham ISD and would like to have the results sent to another employer, you need to complete a release form. Please download the Release Form below, complete and fax to (517) 244-1720.
