About
The Participation Curriculum was developed for students who function in the severe cognitive impaired range of ability. The content focus of the curriculum is to help students increase their participation in their daily living to the greatest extent possible. The specific areas of focus include: Leisure and Productivity, Interactions, Communication, Personal Care, Health and Safety and Mobility. As soon as the State of Michigan is finished with the Extended Grade Level Content Expectations (E-GLCE’s) and the Extended Michigan Curriculum Benchmarks for this population, the curriculum will be reviewed for content, revised as needed and cross-referenced with the State Standards.
