The Production and Evaluation Program (PEP) serves students who will need direct supervision on the job. This program emphasizes the development of student production skills, such as: assembly and disassembly, collating, sorting and packaging, shredding documents, recycling, plant care, and others. Students will be prepared to work in either continuous supervised work settings, like sheltered workshops, or community placements with intense, ongoing support to the student/employee.
A functional vocational evaluation is available for severely handicapped student learners as part of this program. Assessment of student achievement in work placements is accomplished by combination of structured observations and checklists. An ongoing vocational evaluation is carried out as students move through a variety of settings and placements.
