The Grant Services office is located in the Thorburn Education Center. The office is part of the Ingham ISD Business Department and is responsible for assuring that all grant applications and reports are completed timely and accurately and that all grant funds are expended in compliance with federal, state and grantor requirements. Grant Services also seeks out potential grant opportunities that align with the district’s goals and objectives and facilitates pursuit of such opportunities. The District received over $14 million in grant funds during the 2005-06 school year. Nearly 77% of these funds were for Special Education purposes throughout the district and benefited nearly 8,000 pupils in the county. Additionally, 11% of the funds supported Career Technical Education programs and 12% supported General Education programs, including numerous professional development activities in the county. |
