Free R.E.A.D.Y. Kits are available in Ingham County to Medicaid eligible families of infants, 0-12 months and first time parents of infants. Ingham currently has 1000 kits stored at the Health Department; additional kits will be available for distribution. Great Parents, Great Start – Ingham, is coordinating distribution of the READY Kits at the WIC Information Mall in the Health Department at scheduled times, and also at the WIC clinics in the out-county areas. When parents receive the kit, they will be given an overview of what is in it and how to use it. Toddler and preschool kits are available for purchase only ($10 each). Information for ordering can be found on MDE’s website under READY kits. If your program has Medicaid eligible infants or first time parents of infants and you would like to distribute kits to these families, please contact Wendy Moncada at (517) 372-9411 x207 or Michelle Nicholson at (517) 244-1384 and they will assist you in order to track the distribution of the kits. |
