PROM/SE Project Ingham ISD is one of five partner sites for PROM/SE –Promoting Rigorous Outcomes in Mathematics and Science (www.promse.msu.edu ), a National Science Foundation research initiative, with a goal of improving science and mathematics understandings for all students. The Ingham County school districts that have elected to participate in PROM/SE are: East Lansing, Holt, Lansing, Leslie, Waverly, Webberville, and Williamston. Marty Couretas is the PROM/SE coordinator for Ingham County districts. She is involved in advising PROM/SE activities and planning the professional development strand of the grant. Marty also supports the field of science in Ingham County through Ingham ISD’s Science Network, professional development offerings, and by staying current in the field through contacts with the Michigan Department of Education, Michigan Science Teachers Association, National Science Teachers Association, and the research base in the science education domain.
