The curriculum team consults with schools and districts to assist with implementation of the Michigan Curriculum Framework and the Michigan School Improvement Framework. The team provides assistance with:

• Alignment of curriculum
• Selection of instructional materials and teaching resources 
• Best practices for instruction in the content areas
  
• Assessment of and for learning 
• District and building level school improvement plans

The team coordinates professional development to deepen teacher’s content knowledge and develop new skills. The team also creates products and tools for schools to use in their own professional development. Curriculum services are closely coordinated with those of Planning and Evaluation, Literacy and Special Education Transition.

• Coordinates Ingham ISD content area networks 
• Provides customized consulting upon request and within parameters described above
• Plans and implements professional development in order to help teachers and administrators increase student achievement 
• Engages in research and projects to advance what is known in the field 
• Remains current with, and works to influence, changes in the content areas through membership on, and involvement with, various professional associations.
