About

Do you like working indoors, outdoors, with information, people or things? Are you adventurous or shy? Do you prefer to work alone or with other people? Do you prefer to learn through pictures or words? Do you enjoy sports or computers? Finding out more about your interests, strengths, personality traits and values can be the first steps in developing a short or long-range action plan. Answers to these questions and more can be found during your career assessment experience. We can help you discover more about your educational and career potential.

A career assessment is a snapshot of your interests and abilities at a single point in time. While your abilities may increase as you take new classes and your interests may change by trying new activities, career assessment provides a starting point in looking at different careers and shows you how your interests and abilities match up with that career. No single inventory can tell you everything you need to know about yourself, but it can give you an idea where to begin.

In cooperation with your school counselor, this information will be useful in developing an action plan for your future. This action plan will be helpful for you when creating your Educational Development Plan (EDP) and determining appropriate career and technical training options.
