Are you interested in working in a doctor’s office setting or perhaps a laboratory? If so, the Medical Assistant program may be the right avenue for you to expand your healthcare education.
After successfully completing Health Foundations, this second year course gives you the opportunity to expand your healthcare experience. Emphasis is placed on three major areas of focus: academics and skill building, certification opportunities and field placement. The opportunities are endless.
The Medical Assistant track allows students to concentrate their training in clinical and administrative skills, as well as the option of becoming a Nationally Certified Phlebotomist. Students choosing this program will need to provide their own transportation to clinical sites for work based learning opportunities.
Whether you plan to join the workforce right after high school or use your skills and knowledge to give you an edge in college, we’ll make sure you are ready!
