If you’d like to work in an inpatient setting, such as a hospital, extended care facility or nursing home, this program can show you the way to direct patient care. Students can earn their Certified Nursing Assistant (CAN) certification and springboard into nursing programs at various schools.
After successfully completing Health Foundations, this second year course gives students the opportunity to become a Certified Nursing Assistant/Acute Care Assistant. Imagine graduating from high school and already having what you need to be a great employee in a high-skilled, high-demand job without spending your own money or extra time.
As a student in this program, you will participate in on-site clinical work at a long-term care facility as well as a hospital. You will need to provide your own transportation to these sites.
Whether you plan to join the workforce right out of high school, or use your skills and knowledge to enter a college nursing program, we’ll make sure you are ready.
