Welcome to Career Assessment Services

We offer students the tools and help they need to figure out how skills, interests and strengths relate to career and education options. Offering a wide variety of services for all students within the Ingham Intermediate School District

Comprehensive Career Assessments

Allows a student to explore their interests, skills, abilities, learning and personality style and link that information to careers and education options under the guidance of a Career Counselor

Post Secondary Planning

Helps students explore ‘after high school' options using data in regards to, employment, college/technical training, and job outlook.

Learning Style Inventories

Gives students the opportunity to think about how they learn and gives them tools and learning strategies for their unique learning style.

MECA Assesses and teaches using the following components:

The Interest Indicator, Career Specific Work Samples, Career Specific Learning Assessment Programs, The Career Planner, Personal Responsibility, The Success Profiler, and Functional Skills System.

Links

A model transition program designed to improve post secondary outcomes for students with mild to moderate disabilities through a comprehensive career assessment, work based learning, mentoring, and other research and evidence based transition practices.

The Career Assessment Services office is located at the Capital Area Career Center so that students can ride the bus to and from appointments.

Referral Information

Referring a student is easy, simply download the 2015-2016 Referral Form and the Let's Get Acquainted  document and send it back to us completed. A student can be referred by anyone, and time away from class for any of the services we provide will not count as an absence.
