Getting started
What are your interests?
As a student, you can benefit from:

- Reviewing your EDP annually with your parents and counselor and identify what CACC programs match your future education and career goals.
- Attending the CACC annual Open House during or before 10th grade. The Open House is held annually in November.
- Attending the CACC presentation at your high school during your sophomore and/or junior year.
- Registering to visit a CACC program for a 2-1/2 hour experience where you will spend time with the program teacher and current students working on the equipment, reviewing textbooks, and in some cases completing an interview and/or a short academic assessment. Program visits are scheduled on specific dates during February. Talk with the

- Students applying for Histotechnology, Computer Installation and Repair, CAHEP or LAMP must complete an additional application process. CAHEP and LAMP applications are distributed at the Parent Meeting.
Attending a program visit (and parent meeting, if applicable) is a requirement for enrollment, but is not a guarantee of enrollment. Applications are reviewed by the CACC Enrollment Counselor and the CACC Contact Counselor for your district, along with the program visit report, transcript, IEP, EDP, and other pertinent documentation that support a student's request to enroll. Every effort is made to match students to programs that fit with their interests, goals and abilities.
Students will receive a letter from CACC in May confirming their CACC enrollment for the next school year. If you do not receive a letter by the end of May, check with your CACC Contact Counselor. Students may be placed on a "wait list" and will be contacted if a late enrollment opportunity becomes available.
The following documentation is required to complete enrollment
• Completed Enrollment forms with student, parent and high school counselor’s signature
• Student transcript demonstrating 11th grade credit status.
• EDP and/or a Transition Plan, career assessment results, that identifies the students’ interests, career exploration and abilities match CACC program requirements. Students needing additional support choosing career and technical education programs to visit and /or enroll in are strongly recommended to complete a Career Assessment process prior to internship registration and enrollment requests.
• Most recent trimester or semester attendance record.
