National Career Readiness Certificate™
The National Career Readiness Certificate TM is designed to complement other traditional credentials such as a high school diploma, community college degree, or college degree.
The National Career Readiness Certificate TM is based on three WorkKeys® assessments—Applied Mathematics, Locating Information and Reading for Information. These three skills are measured on the Michigan Merit Examination (MME). WorkKeys® is the foundation of the National Career Readiness Certificate, which gives job seekers, those who prepare them, and employers a way to connect and communicate.
KeyTrain is an interactive on-line curriculum designed to achieve mastery of the applied academic workplace skills assessed by WorkKeys including those tested on the Michigan Merit Examination—Applied Mathematics, Locating Information and Reading for Information.
In addition to the academic curriculum, students have access to the KeyTrain Career Skills series. This field-tested curriculum is designed to teach and reinforce “soft” workplace skills such as work habits, business ethics, customer service, and on-the-job etiquette.
Download student outreach materials to help students and parents understand the benefits of this additional credential that can enhance a student's portfolio.
