Process

Ingham ISD is providing criminal history checks for Michigan School Employment in compliance with the Student Safety Acts of 2006. The fee is $55 for the fingerprinting and criminal records check.

You will need to download and complete the forms below to be fingerprinted and for your fingerprints to be processed.

Please follow these steps:

Step 1 - Complete all information on the forms in black ink. This includes:

  • Conviction Disclosure Form (Download in the packet below)
  • Fingerprint Information Sheet (Download in the packet below)
  • Authorization for Release of Criminal Records (Download below)
Step 2 - The fee is $55.00. Please bring a check or money order made payable to Ingham ISD, or you may pay by credit card or e-check by clicking the Payschools link below. Be sure to bring a copy of your printed receipt as proof of payment at the time you are fingerprinted.

Step 3 - Go to the Thorburn Education Center, 2630 W. Howell Rd., Mason to be fingerprinted. You will need to show pictured identification such as a driver’s license, to verify your identity.

Once you have completed these steps, you will receive a receipt showing you began the criminal history process at Ingham ISD. A copy of this receipt should be provided as a courtesy to the district with whom you are applying. Once the actual criminal history results are received, they will be sent to the district that you indicated on the release form. This process takes approximately one week.

If you were printed at Ingham ISD and would like to have the results sent to another employer, you need to complete a release form. Please download the Release Form below, complete and fax to (517) 676-8007.
