Ingham ISD is committed to increasing K-12 mathematics achievement scores in the twelve districts in our county. To that end, we provide many different forms of support to teachers and administrators. One form of support is training and demonstration lessons on Go Math, the Common Core aligned curriculum that many of our schools are using. Teachers and administrators learn how to use the program to balance procedural and conceptual mathematics instruction. We also use job embedded coaching to increase the use of evidence-based practices in the mathematics classroom. Finally, we offer trainings for teachers to improve their conceptual understanding of topics in mathematics so that they can teach the topic in more depth to their students.
