Over 450 people attended the event where they enjoyed free services such as hand massages from Cosmetology, vehicle safety inspections from Auto Tech and tasty creations from the Culinary Arts program. &lt;/p&gt;</description>

<description>&lt;p&gt;On April 30, over 90 students from throughout the state competed in the annual MITES (Michigan Industrial and Trade Education Society) Automotive Competition at Tuscola Area Technology Center in Caro, MI. Students participated in two hands-on competitions: 1.) Quick Service for high school juniors with six categories and 2.) an Auto Contest for high school seniors with eight categories. Three students from the Capital Area Career Center participated and placed very highly in the competitions.&lt;/p&gt;</description>

<description>&lt;p&gt;For several years the Capital Area Career Center has offered a Computer-Aided Drafting (CAD) and Design program that focused primarily in the mechanical field, with a broad overview in several other areas. Due to industry and student demand, the program is being redesigned for the 2010-11 school year. Instead of having a single two-year program, CAD and Design will now offer two one-year programs: one in mechanical drafting and one in architecture.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;</description>
